How to Lein Pinchas and Yissachar
My personal preference when leining is to pronounce the name יששכר the way it is pointed, i.e., Yissakhar (or Yissokhor). If you follow the minhag to mispronounce it until פרשת פינחס, keep in mind that we are up to it this week and you should start pronouncing it correctly. For my longer post on the different minhagim regarding the pronunciation, click here and here.
And as long as we are on the topic of how to pronounce biblical names, see Josh Waxman on how to pronounce פינחס (click here and here). Also see his other leining posts for this week (click here and here).

Should we ask David to do a survey on this topic? (Yissachar, that is.)
good idea
