Jr Likes to Move It
For the longest time Jr's favorite song has been Alicia Keys's "No One."
Today he came home and out of nowhere he broke out singing "I Like to Move It":
We haven't verified this yet, but we think he learned it from LFD's nephew (who learned in from the cartoon "Madagascar"?). [Update: he told me on the way to school today that he and LFD's nephew learned it from another boy.]
The Mrs said Jr was really cute--I got home too late to see him singing it and dancing--, but it's a little weird that he sings a song that has also been used--according to Wiki--in a condom commercial.

A: He had to turn around and move it move it!
Q: And what did the Holy Land do?
A: It had to MOVE IT!
LFD:
"I'm only related to my wife through marrige"
even worse, that mean you're related by your own free volition!
I'm LOLing here, because my 9 year old daughter has been singing "I Like To Move It" non-stop since she saw Madagascar last week.
RAIZY:
i'd never even head of the movie until now. (and my son is only 4)
The first song I recognize from the Jewish version. Funny I should hear that version before the origonal.
The second song can go in 2 ways, it makes sense for your son to start singing it cause it's a catchy tune, and little kids have a lot of energy and like to constantly move around. But then after hearing more of the song I can see the inapropriatness of it, and why it would be used for that comercial.
BS:
they changed the words to make it fit the commercial more. the original version is from a kids' cartoon (i think)
